ERCOT is implementing the Energy Emergency Alert Level 2B to maintain frequency at 60 Hertz. Emergency interruptible loads are being deployed. While rotating outages are not in place at this time, there is a high probability that they may be implemented. ERCOT is asking the media to notify the public to reduce electricity usage to lessen the need for rotating outages. Consumers should be directed to contact their utility company regarding questions about rotating outage implementation plans.
