Natural Gas Storage Report 3/31/2011

Working gas in storage was 1,624 Bcf as of Friday, March 25, 2011, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 12 Bcf from the previous week.

  • Stocks were 12 Bcf less than last year at this time and 68 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,556 Bcf
  • East Region, stocks were 39 Bcf below the 5-year average following net withdrawals of 7 Bcf.
  • Producing Region were 133 Bcf above the 5-year average of 607 Bcf after a net injection of 25 Bcf.
  • West Region were 26 Bcf below the 5-year average after a net drawdown of 6 Bcf.

At 1,624 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.
